Bob resides in Bethel where he is an active member of the local chapter of Trout Unlimited. The fishery is best from mid-May to July 1, and in September & October. In July and August the water temperatures rise to a level that are potentially harmful to fish that are hooked and trying to escape, so our guiding focus in these months is the lower Andro for smallmouth bass. This is a beautiful area of the state and a very scenic float for a half day experience. While many have experienced fighting these fish on lakes and ponds, adding a 5-6 knot current makes it a very fun and exciting experience on a fly rod! We float two sections regularly- Mexico to Canton and Lewiston to Durham. This fishery is at it’s peak from June through early September, and offers spectacular scenery in a 4 to 8 mile float. There is an abundance of wildlife including bald eagles, beaver, muskrat, and whitetail deer. We strongly recommend catch and release. These float trips are designed for one or two people and include all gear, snacks, and beverages.
